About the owners

Originally from the East Coast, Leah and Derek discovered the Kern River Valley on a weekend fly fishing trip from Los Angeles and never looked back. They started looking for a house and once they saw the cabin they knew it was the perfect fit. After living in Mountain Shadow Cabin full time for a few years, we’re ready to share it’s charm and comfort with others. We know that others will enjoy everything the house and area have to offer.
